Southwest Florida College was established in 1974 as the Lehigh School of Business. The name was tainted in 1982 to the Fort Myers Business Academy. On June 29, 1995 the school was obtained by the International College Foundation, Inc. of Largo, Florida – a 54 year old personal non-profit higher education management company.
